The Croatian vice world champion Rebic had proved his worth again on Sunday in the first round of the DFB Cup, when he shot Eintracht into the next round of the third league team Waldhof Mannheim (5:3) with a hat-trick in the second half. The rumours that the 25-year-old was about to switch to AC or Inter Milan were promptly fuelled.

“Ante knows what he’s got in unity. He really appreciates the club and the fans. How much the fans like him was also felt again in Mannheim”, said Bobic.
