Beierlorzer feels more comfortable in Mainz than in Cologne

Coach Achim Beierlorzer feels more at home with Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05 than he did with their league rivals 1 FC Köln.

“The courageous football that Mainz wants us to play fits my philosophy. I believe that Mainz will also have a bit more peace and quiet at the club.

Beierlorzer inherited the unsuccessful Sandro Schwarz from FSV last November. The 52-year-old had been dismissed just nine days earlier in Cologne. Beierlorzer scored nine points in seven games at FSV, the previous two games were lost.
