Bundesliga: Baumgartlinger about to renew contract

The German Bundesliga soccer team Bayer Leverkusen wants to extend the contract with the currently injured ÖFB team player Julian Baumgartlinger ahead of time, according to a media report. “We are in talks and there are also signals that he wants to stay,” the picture quoted on Monday by Bayer Managing Director Rudi Völler. “We would like to continue with Julian because we are totally satisfied with him.”

Mittelfeldmann Baumgartlinger’s contract runs until the summer of 2020. The 31-year-old from Salzburg moved from FSV Mainz 05 to the Rhineland in 2016 and played 21 Bundesliga matches for the Werkself in the past season.
