FCA announces talks: Hinteregger drunk at folk festival

FC Augsburg has announced a meeting with Martin Hinteregger. The defender was apparently filmed drunk at a public festival during the training camp in Austria.

“We have knowledge of this video. We ask for your understanding that we will not be able to make a final statement until we have spoken to the team and Martin,” Augsburg’s Sport Managing Director Stefan Reuter told the Bild.

On the Internet, there is currently a 30-second video showing the heavily intoxicated Hinteregger. Team-mate Kevin Danso supports the strongly wavering team-mate, while Rani Khedira, Andre Hahn and Julian Schieber can also be seen in the background.

The consequences of Hinteregger’s behaviour and how his condition affected the dates with FCA in the training camp are currently not officially known. According to the picture, Hinteregger missed the final training, he is not to be found on the farewell picture shared with the hotel staff in the social networks.

Hinteregger’s relationship with those responsible at FC Augsburg has been compromised. The defender criticized former coach Manuel Baum hard last season and was then awarded to Eintracht Frankfurt. However, he vehemently contradicted the latest strike accusations and stated that he could also imagine a future in Augsburg.
