Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea FC this summer to move to Real Madrid in Spain. All information about the transfer, the replacement and the new contract of the Belgian superstar can be found here.
According to media reports, the transfer fee will be approximately 100 million euros plus bonus payments totalling 40 million euros. This would make Hazard the most expensive purchase in the history of the Royal Society.
Allegedly, the Royal Hazard also pay a princely salary, he is supposed to receive about 15 million euros per year. This puts him in second place in the Madrilenian salary table behind Gareth Bale, who could possibly leave the club in the summer.
Hazard signs a five-year contract with Real Madrid, which means he will be bound to the Royal Family until 2024. The association has officially announced this on its homepage.
The Belgian had already announced a few weeks ago that he would be leaving Chelsea FC this summer. Now his new employer has also been officially confirmed. For Real Madrid, Hazard is already the third big transfer of the summer.
After the disastrous 2018/19 season in Madrid without a single title and third place in the Primera Division, the royals have already strengthened their attacking skills: alongside Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic from Frankfurt and Rodrygo from FC Santos are also joining Real.
This means that the Spaniards have now almost broken their own spending record from 2009, when they were able to guide Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema, among others, to the Spanish capital.
