Neven Subotic currently rates BVB’s squad more highly than that of FC Bayern. “If FC Bayern are playing with their current squad, it’s Dortmund,” Subotic told the Bild newspaper in response to the question as to who was their favourite for the title and added: “Quite clearly.
So far, Subotic has rated the BVB transfer summer as positive. Above all, the change of his former partner in central defence, Mats Hummels, will do Borussia good. “He has won four titles with Bayern in the last three years, BVB only one in time. Now Dortmund is bringing Mats’ experience back in. This is a great opportunity for him,” said Subotic.
According to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Niko Kovac and Co., Hummels had fled the competition at FC Bayern, but Subotic questions that. “It’s normal for the club to communicate it that way. Nevertheless, the move to BVB was the right choice for him.
