Schalke successful in double pack test game

The Schalke 04 Bundesliga team has won two victories at the end of its training camp in Austria. First the royal blue team won against the Turkish first division team Alanyaspor 2:0 (1:0) in Mittersill, a little later the team of new coach David Wagner won against the Spanish first division team FC Villarreal 3:1 (1:1) in Saalfelden.

Wagner switched completely between the two games. Steven Skrzybski (18th) and Fabian Reese (56th) scored against Alanya, Ahmed Kutucu had to be treated in the cabin after a press stroke.

In the second match against Villarreal, Guido Burgstaller (22nd), Nassim Boujellab (49th) and Bastian Oczipka (86th) were successful with a free-kick. Vicente Iborra (35th) had balanced in between.

In the first round of the DFB Cup, Schalke will meet the SV Drochtersen/Assel on August 10, and the squires will have to travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach a week later to open the league.
