Hoeneß refrains from Sane-Transfer: “Amounts are insanity”, says Hoeneß

Bayern Munich’s President Uli Hoeneß considers a transfer of national player Leroy Sane to record soccer champion to be almost impossible.

“You gotta be a little skeptical. It’s unlikely to work out. It’s about amounts that are madness,” Hoeneß (67) told the trade magazine kicker. Recently there had been rumours that Sanes Klub Manchester City had rejected a first Bavarian offer of 80 million euros.

According to information from the kicker, the personnel James (27) has been decided. Accordingly, it was decided not to draw the purchase option of 42 million euros for the loan from Real Madrid. According to kicker, the highly talented Portuguese with a contract until June 2021 is likely to stay in Munich, even though a retirement was considered very probable so far. A transfer from Timo Werner (23/RB Leipzig) to Munich is “currently not so hot”, there is still interest in midfielder Rodrigo (22/Atletico Madrid), but it should cost 70 million euros.
