Coach Friedhelm Funkel of Fortuna Düsseldorf has demanded more gratitude from his offensive player Benito Raman, who is willing to emigrate. “He must be grateful to Fortuna, because when he came over two years ago he didn’t even have air for 60 minutes”, Funkel is quoted in the picture. At that time, he had moved from Standard Liège to Germany for 1.5 million euros.

Raman has been hoping for a change to FC Schalke 04 for days, but so far Düsseldorf and Schalke have not been able to reach an agreement. The allegedly latest bid of nine million euros is too low for Fortuna. Raman’s contract in Düsseldorf runs until 2022.

FC Schalke 04 has lost the fight for the Portuguese talent Rafael Camacho from FC Liverpool. Despite royal blue interest, the 19-year-old switches to Sporting Lisbon.

The transfer fee is expected to be around five million euros, which could increase to seven million euros under certain circumstances. The contract is dated until 2024.
