FC Bayern Munich has apparently refrained from signing Ousmane Dembele. Leroy Sane meanwhile received the green light from Pep Guardiola. Herbert Hainer apparently cancelled the DFB – due to the possible succession of Uli Hoeneß? Here you can find all news and rumours about the FCB.
FC Bayern Munich apparently has no more interest in Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona. The kicker reports this, but gives no reasons for the alleged change of opinion. Finally, the former Dortmund player was seen as a possible alternative to a transfer of Manchester City’s Leroy Sane.
According to recent rumours, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic was already in contact with a consultant from Dembeles. The young Frenchman has dropped back in the internal ranking at FC Barcelona due to the transfer of Antoine Griezmann. After rumours of Neymar’s return also made the rounds, Dembele was considered transferable.
FC Barcelona, however, had always contradicted this statement and emphasised that the 22-year-old had great potential. A transfer would probably have taken place beyond the 100 million euro mark anyway, after Barcelona had transferred around 125 million euro to BVB since summer 2017.
FC Bayern Munich apparently has new hope for a transfer of Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. According to the BBC, Pep Guardiola pushed the door wide open for a change on Wednesday: “He must decide. If he wants to go, he can, but we’d be sad.”
Recently, the Catalan didn’t seem to be very enthusiastic about the idea of losing his wingman, and publicly stressed several times that he wanted to hold on to Sane. Manchester City has already submitted an offer to the German international to extend his contract, which expires in 2020, but which has not yet been accepted.
FC Bayern have been considered interested for some time, but will have to convince the player to change. The SportBild reported that there were positive signs from the consulting team in the end. But according to kicker there is still no contact between FCB and Sane.
Bayern München’s supervisory board member Herbert Hainer has, according to Bild, rejected the DFB and the office of president. The daily sees this as a sign of a possible successor to Uli Hoeneß as president and chairman of the supervisory board of FC Bayern from autumn 2019.
Recently rumours had spread that Hoeneß was planning a surprising withdrawal from his posts as record champion. Accordingly, he no longer wants to be re-elected as President in November and is also planning to resign as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Hainer is to succeed in both offices. The 65-year-old holds a degree in business administration and worked for the sporting goods manufacturer adidas for 29 years. In addition to his activities on the supervisory boards of FC Bayern and Lufthansa, he currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of Sportradar.
