“Chef with the 7”: Ribéry responds to Gnabry number

The enormous importance of Serge Gnabry at FC Bayern Munich can be seen in the future on the jersey of the football national player.

The outsider, who played a decisive role in winning the triple in the past season, not least because of his nine Champions League goals, now has the prestigious number seven back.

It belonged to French audience favourite Franck Ribéry from 2007 to the end of his career in summer 2019.

“I am very pleased to be playing with this number in the future,” Gnabry said: “Franck has always inspired the fans – that motivates me all the more.” So far Gnabry wore the 22nd Franck Ribéry
