BVB also in the race for Nübel?

Borussia Dortmund apparently also has an interest in Alexander Nübel of FC Schalke 04. Next summer, a transfer poker could develop in the dispute over the goalkeeper with FC Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

As SportBild reports, Nübel plans to let his contract expire in 2020 and leave S04 free of charge. The hand money, correspondingly high, could come from Dortmund, Leipzig or Munich. All three clubs should have great interest in a commitment.

After Leipzig and FC Bayern have been trading for some time, BVB seems to be new to poker. According to the report, Roman Bürki is not untouchable in Dortmund. However, it remains to be seen how the fans of both camps would react to Nübel’s change to a local rival.

RB Leipzig is said to have already submitted an offer for Nübel this summer. The offer is said to have amounted to 15 million euros, but Nübel rejected it in the end. Likewise, the international interested parties Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and the Tottenham Hotspur will not be an issue for the 22-year-old.

FC Schalke 04, meanwhile, continues to hope for an extension and Nübel is said to have submitted an offer until 2023 or 2024. His salary would rise from 600,000 euros per year to up to three million euros. Nübel, however, seems to be looking more at the big hand money in the summer of 2020.
