Bundesliga: Fix! Bavaria fishes for Chelsea duo

FC Bayern Munich has signed the two youth players Jamal Musiala and Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi from the Youth Academy of FC Chelsea. This was announced by the Munich team on Thursday evening.

The 16-year-old offensive player Musiala is initially scheduled for Miroslav Klose’s U17. His peer Arrey-Mbi, on the other hand, will already be playing as central defender in the U19 of the new coach Martin Demichelis.

“With Jamal and Bright we were able to win two hopeful talents for our junior teams. We are convinced of their qualities and development potential and assume that they will quickly settle in with us on campus,” explained Bavaria’s junior boss Jochen Sauer.

Both talents come from Germany and play for the German U16 national team, but moved to the island at a young age. Musiala, who was born in Stuttgart, joined Chelsea FC at the age of eight. Arrey-Mbi switched from Norwich City to the Blues in 2014.
