Boateng defends himself against fine: “Find this sad”

Former world champion Jérôme Boateng has been fined by FC Bayern Munich. The club punished the defender because he had left his home town despite the Corona exit restrictions in force.

According to the German record soccer champion, the 31-year-old left Munich on Tuesday without permission from the club. Nothing is known about the amount of the fine.

On Tuesday, TV Oberfranken had initially reported that Boateng had survived a car accident on the A9 near Selbitz on slippery roads without injury.
