Atletico: Trippier successfully operated – worries about Morata and Felix

The lack of an important support on the right side also contributed to a genuine crisis in Atletico Madrid. With two weeks to go before the Champions League round of 16 against defending champions Liverpool, right-back Kieran Trippier has had a successful operation, but the Rojiblancos could be missing – not the only ones.

Since losing the Supercopa final against city rivals Real (1:4 i.E.), the 29-year-old Englishman had not been used. After persistent complaints, an inflammation of the pubic bone was diagnosed, which was now successfully operated after failed “conservative methods”, as could be read in the club statement.
