Arp confirmed, FCB change already this summer

Jann-Fiete Arp of Hamburger SV has announced his move to FC Bayern Munich this summer. Previously, the attacking jewel had scored his first goal of the season on the last matchday, which moved him to tears.

The change of the junior national player, who had joined the Hanseatic League nine years ago, to the German record champion had already become official in February this year. Only the timing of the three million euro transfer was still questionable.

“The agreement contains flexible changeover periods”, HSV stated in a statement at the time: “The decision as to when he will leave Hamburger SV will only be made by Fiete Arp”.

This has now made the offensive jewel public following the home win against Duisburg. Arp had scored his first goal of the season against the MSV after a form crisis that had lasted for months, an interim transfer back to the U23 and a few assignments with the pros, and had subsequently burst into tears. “The goal is a small consolation and was simply important for the moment,” explained Arp, who wanted to “let his feelings run wild”.

FC Bayern also took note of the unsuccessful season of the Hamburg native plant. “Fiete Arp must have had other goals for the season.
