Bayer has to give up Hrádecký for longer

Published on

Football league player Bayer Leverkusen will continue to be unable to rely on regular goalkeeper Lukás Hrádecký in the coming weeks. The Finnish national keeper labs on an Achilles tendon injury and has to pause even longer.

The concurrent diagnosis of the doctors means for the caper an expected downtime until after the international game break at the end of March. Hrádecký suffered an injury to the right Achilles tendon against FSV Mainz 05 on 13 February (2:2). According to club information, when the goalkeeper can train again depends on the healing process.

Bayer’s replacement goalkeeper Niklas Lomb had made a slapstick contribution to Augsburg FC on Sunday’s 1-1, allowing the FCA to score 1-0. The 27-year-old had kicked the ball uncompromisingly with a return pass, Augsburg’s Florian Niederlechner only had to score an empty goal.
