The English police have temporarily arrested two people who are said to have unlawfully published a photo of the autopsy of the footballer Emiliano Sala.
The photo had appeared briefly on Twitter in February. A 48-year-old and a 62-year-old from the county of Wiltshire in the southwest of England now have to answer for this. The police had recently confirmed investigations, and the pictures were apparently taken in a mortuary.
The Argentinian Sala, who played for FC Nantes in France, had signed a contract with Cardiff City in the Premier League. But a private plane with the 28-year-old and the British pilot David Ibbotson disappeared from the radar on 21 January on the flight from Nantes to Cardiff, some 20 kilometres north of the Channel Island Guernsey.
After a long search the wreck was found, Sala’s body was identified. Nantes and Cardiff have been fighting over the relief millions ever since.
